In the small settlement of Gabies, the Sisters of St Frances de Sale run several convent schools which feed and board around 130 underprivileged children from around the Namaqualand area. The Sisters invited Flowers for Africa to facilitate the children in painting their dormitories to improve the atmosphere. Boys painted stars, girls painted flowers above their beds – what they loved about their school, gratitude
