A safe place, War Child with APTart

The decades-long conflict in eastern DRC has displaced hundreds of thousands of people, including many children. War Child, which empowers young people in conflict-affected areas with psychosocial support, education and protection had built child-friendly safe places for displaced children in rebel-held territory. Working with APTart, Luc facilitated around 40 children to paint the walls of these safe houses to direct lost children towards these safe spaces and deter active fighting in the area.

Spraying away theft, War Child with APTart

After a number of their vehicles were stolen, War Child commissioned APTart to facilitate a group of 20 orphans from Goma to paint the vehicles in colourful patterns and peace motifs to deter theft.
